My newest calming hobby is the kalimba. I’m also a big fan of crocheting. I know plenty of people who have started knitting, painting and cross stitching. But why are these type of hobbies so important to millennials?
We often find ourselves juggling multiple responsibilities, navigating challenges, and striving for success in various aspects of life when the odds can seem stacked against us.
Soothing hobbies offer millennials a precious opportunity to 𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘨 from the constant demands of technology, work, and social pressures which can often contribute to 𝘢𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺.

Sometimes we just need something that stops us from doom scrolling.
Amidst all of this our 𝘢𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘴 and the significance of engaging in soothing hobbies cannot be overstated. These activities provide a 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘹𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘳𝘦𝘫𝘶𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

Two weeks ago I had to do a photo for my book and I was an anxious mess. I hate having my photograph taken and as a naturally “awkward” person I felt very exposed, self-conscious and silly. When I feel like this I often start to get a stress rash which obviously would have impacted the photo. I had a kalimba with me and played it (not particularly well) when I felt overwhelmed. It was a great help and I got the photo done much faster than I had expected.
These are the practical and simple tips I teach in my 𝐀𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭 𝗪𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 where not only do I help you dig deep into your anxiety, I also help you find 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 to help with your anxiety.
