"Elaine is fantastic at what she does. She provides a welcoming, relaxing, judgement-free environment. I particularly enjoyed the online reiki healing sessions and felt a huge improvement in my daily anxiety. I cannot recommend her services enough!"

Joe
"I completed a Chakra Healing and Distant Reiki course of sessions with Elaine. It was the most enjoyable experience. I felt very grounded during and after each session. It reduced my stress levels which helped improve my sleep. Elaine has a lovely speaking voice which is very soothing and calming. This enhanced the sessions for me."

I’m a therapist and yesterday 𝘐 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. I cried because of right denying policies and views. I cried because of hate. I cried because of gen*cide. I cried because of animal torment. I cried because I saw a video of a blind man suffering. I had to take time away from work because I was so overcome with tears, sadness and general despair.
We’re taught from an early age to 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. And if you’re going to cry, for god’s sake don’t let anyone know about it.
𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬. Crying is not a weakness. You are crying because you care deeply, because you want better for the world, because you are sensitive to suffering and because you are full of consideration.
I’ve heard remarks before that a therapist shouldn’t be overwhelmed by sadness. There seems to be a belief that feeling anxious, stressed, scared, sad etc. makes us bad at our jobs. But that’s not true. In fact, I think it makes us better. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨?
If you’re sad right now, I’m with you and I’m sending you love and solidarity.
If you want to explore these issues with someone who is experiencing the same feelings, I’m here for you and 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞.

𝐈’𝐦 𝐚 “𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭” 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧!
I have been told that I need to 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 because I was passionate about my work.
I’ve been told that 𝘐’𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 because I brought intimidating physical behaviour from a male colleague to my boss (let’s just say his fists were involved!)
I have been told 𝘐’𝘮 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵 because I refused to allow the individuals I represented be treated unfairly.
Would a man be told the same things?
If you are reading this and nodding in agreement, I’m sorry that you’ve been treated so badly. I want you to know that 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦.
You are not difficult, you are not too sensitive and you don’t need to remove emotion from anything you are doing.
It can be hard to have our voices heard but 𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
If you would like some support to deal with these experiences, I am here for you. DM me the word DIFFICULT and I will send you information on how we can work together.

Unpopular opinion: you need to know your therapist’s / coach’s views and beliefs
The golden rule of therapy used to be that you should never self-disclose to clients, meaning that clients should know nothing about you. Although this is changing, 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.
More and more of us are spending consciously and 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨.
Working with a therapist and coach is such a deeply personal and intensive experience and 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴.
Unfortunately, our world is becoming very divided and it is vital that you choose a therapist and coach that 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬, 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬, 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬.
Sadly I have seen some very questionable statements recently from therapists and coaches.
I want to share my values with you 𝐬𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞, 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝.
⭐I’m a feminist
⭐I believe in LGBTQ+ rights
⭐I believe in bodily autonomy and have campaigned for abortion rights
⭐I am left wing and care about social rights for all
⭐I am an activist and advocate for a number of human rights issues including mental health, and the ending of g*n*cide
⭐I do my best to run a sustainable business and I am vegan for animals and the environment
Now 𝐦𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮, but I care deeply about my clients and our relationship and I want you to feel assured about who you are working with.
If any of this resonates with you and you'd like to explore working together, you can book your FREE consultation via my bio.

One of the most transformative experiences in therapy is the strong interpersonal relationship built between the therapist and the client. This connection is the cornerstone of effective therapy and it transcends physical location and proximity. This is why I am a firm believer in online therapy.
In a world where our lives are increasingly digital, online therapy offers convenience and accessibility, but more importantly, it proves that meaningful connections can be made, regardless of location. As a Psychotherapist and Life Coach, I have seen firsthand how powerful online sessions can be in fostering deep, therapeutic relationships.
Here’s why online therapy works:
⭐Connection Over Proximity
The essence of therapy lies in the trust and rapport between the therapist and the client. This connection is not bound by physical location. Through my online services, you will experience a safe, empathetic and supportive environment, no matter where you are.
⭐Accessibility and Convenience
Online therapy removes barriers such as travel time, and scheduling conflicts. It opens up the possibility for more people to access the support they need, from the comfort of their own space. You can also sit in your pyjamas and be comfortable and cosy.
⭐Comfort and Privacy
Many clients find that they can open up more easily in their own surroundings. Online therapy provides a level of comfort and privacy that can enhance the therapeutic process.
To help you experience this firsthand, I offer a FREE consultation. This allows us to meet, discuss your needs and ensure that you feel a strong connection with me before making any commitment. It’s important that you feel comfortable and confident in your therapeutic journey.
If you’ve been considering therapy but are unsure about online sessions, I encourage you to give it a try. The connection we build can be just as profound and impactful as in-person sessions.
Let’s take the first step together. Book your FREE consultation today and discover the possibilities that online therapy can offer.
