  • I get it, thinking about starting therapy can be daunting and frightening. You might be worried about what to say. 

Maybe the thought of discussing what’s troubling you seems overwhelming and you feel it’ll be too hard to get those words out. 

Perhaps you don’t want to cry in front of a stranger. You don’t want to be vulnerable and feel like you’re not in control. And maybe you’re nervous that you won’t like the therapist or you’ll be judged or there’ll be awkward silences.

Let me help put your mind at ease. 

Of course, it is a big step to start therapy, but it is one that will only benefit you. When you work with me, I will be your biggest supporter and cheerleader. I will be there with you through your sadness and pain and support you throughout your journey. 

Our sessions will be led by you and you will make the decisions on what we talk about. I will not force any unwanted advice on you or force you in a direction you’re uncomfortable with.

There might be tears, there might be silences, but I don’t see them as awkward because it is your space for your thoughts, feelings and emotions. There may even be laughter which is something you might not be expecting.

You’ll have the space to explore your feelings and you will be heard without interruption and without judgement.

  • Have you ever felt so anxious that you just can’t think straight? And then you start to worry that there’s something wrong with you which only ads to your overwhelm and feeling of not being able to think straight. 

Well there’s a reason for that. It’s because you can’t actually think straight. Your emotional brain has taken over and your rational thinking brain can’t function.
